I created a app based on an excel spreadsheet but no matter what I do, whenever I import data it duplicates the record. I have a field I would like to use as a unique identifier, but I'm not sure how to tell my app that. 

Any assistance, even a link to a tutorial on creating functions in the workflow of the app, would be very helpful.

Unfortunately I can't share the original spreadsheet with you because it has private membership data. I could create a test version of the app if that would help you guys help me.
