2 questions Re; Alternatives to a high cost 401k or 403b plan SS
1. Which investment return is actually calculated? In the assumptions or in the calculated fields? Please explain.
2. When you wrote "extra cost in 401k", correct me if I am wrong but I interprete that as above the cost of a taxable account. But I don't know. Please advise.
I am the alternate chair of my former employer's 457b/403b committee and went to get some data that clearly shows how costs affect tax deferred plan in comparison to taxiable or Roth accounts. We are setting up a criteria for vendors to be accepted. We can show them with data that the cost of a plan must be at or below such and such cost.
Your SS does this!
Thanks,
Steve
