Every user interacts with products differently, what feels intuitive to one may be challenging for another. Addressing this, accessibility is built into Zoho Project's design philosophy. This helps users navigate and perform actions with ease irrespective of the environment or individual abilities.
In this spotlight series, we will explore accessibility-focused options like keyboard shortcuts and page landmarks to start with.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts bring speed and convenience to everyday actions. Users can perform a wide range of actions such as creating projects, adding tasks, or logging time without the need for a mouse.
Page Landmarks
Page Landmarks take accessibility a step further for users to move across different sections in the product using only the keyboard. Once enabled under Accessibility Settings, users can quickly shift between areas like the Menu Panel, Header, Main Content, or Views using Control + Option on the keyboard. Tab or Shift + Tab can be used to navigate through interactive elements.
For example, when reviewing the project progress, instead of manually scrolling or clicking through widgets in the project Dashboard, Page Landmarks can be used to move from the main navigation panel to the dashboard quickly reducing navigation effort.
These features streamline navigation and help users accomplish tasks faster with minimal effort.
In the next part of the series, we will explore other accessibility options that make navigating and managing projects more convenient. Stay tuned!
