Can Collaborators Delete A File They Don't Own In Share Workspaces And How?
Being one of the more discussed topics on our forums and with customers being unaware of collaborators roles in deleting files in workspaces, we decided to cover this topic.
Previously in Zoho Docs, only the owner of the workspace could delete the document that was shared with collaborators. But now it is possible for collaborators to delete a document, which they do not require in their shared workspaces.
Collaborators can now delete a file from their shared workspace by following these steps:
- Select the check box next to the file or files in the workspace folder
- Right click and from the drop down menu click on the Delete option
- A confirmation message will appear.
- Click on Ok and the file/files will get deleted from your shared workspace
