Edit survey response with custom variable?

Edit survey response with custom variable?

We have custom variables that are passed with the survey URL. Unfortunately I don't see a way to edit these custom variables on submitted responses. Is there a workaround? 

I tried appending tto URL but it oesnt work. Exmaple 
https://survey.zoho.com/editresponse?responseid=000000&surveyid=000000&name=name. doesnt seem to work
