embedded spread sheets

Is there a way to embed spreadsheets into a blog so that only the active cells are visible? Likewise, is there a way to lock cells so the information can not be altered? Otherwise, I love having the ability to embed the sheet into a blog but I guess I'm looking for a way to make it look and function a little bit more like a field based form with formula functions.
