How It Works

As a sales manager, you can quickly apply dashboard filters to narrow down your data and extract insights efficiently.

The moment you apply a filter, every relevant component on your dashboard adjusts in real time to display only the necessary subset of data. This allows you to explore different perspectives instantly, analyze trends, and make informed decisions without disrupting your workflow. When you're done, simply clear the filters to return to your comprehensive overview.

Flexible Filtering with Component Filters

Component filters allow you to refine data within a single dashboard component without affecting the rest of the dashboard. Combine dashboard filters and component filters for a more dynamic data exploration experience. For instance:

  • Apply a dashboard filter to focus on a specific product line.
  • Then, apply a component filter to analyze sales progress by campaign source.

Dashboard filters refine all relevant dashboard components at once, ensuring that each view is instantly aligned with individual user needs.

Key Notes About Dashboard Filters:

  • Supported filter types: Time, User, and Picklist fields (including Tags).
  • Filters can be applied to fields in primary and related modules of any dashboard component.
  • Maximum of four dashboard filter fields per dashboard.
  • Users with the Manage Analytics permission can configure filters for dashboards not locked for them. Once configured, anyone with access to the dashboard can apply them.



Dashboard filters are not supported for the Anomaly Detector component.

Easily Download Underlying Data for Deeper Analysis

Have you ever spotted something interesting in a dashboard chart and wanted to investigate further? Now, you can download the underlying data of any supported component in CSV or Excel (XLS) format with just a few clicks.

This means you can go from viewing a dashboard component to having a structured dataset ready for further analysis in mere seconds. You can:

  • Share the data with your team.
  • Import it into another tool for in-depth reporting.
  • Eliminate the need for manual data retrieval or external queries.

Key Notes About Data Downloads:

  • The fields in the downloaded file depend on the columns selected in the component’s drill-down view.
  • Supported components for data export:
    • KPI
    • Chart
    • Target Meter
    • Quadrant
    • Zone
