Help needed to embed sheet

I'm a total newbie with Zoho.
I teach biology and think it will have great education use. However, I want to have a simple editable page thats blank to begin. When I tried to publich to web I recieved a code but the http address had a funny code. I suspect it has something to do with an API code. I have an API code but what the hell do I do with it? Do I aslo need a Ticket ID?

Please help me with some step by step instructions please. Email preferred.
