In my situation I have a folder tree with 100 subfolders, 200 sub sub folders, each sub sub folder has 500 docs etc

I would like to share some folders (not all the workspace) with external emails (not from my organisation) and it is not possible to do that in workspaces.

In that case I need to use your new functionality with the shared folders (to share the as public).

I cannot believe that there is no way to do that and as you know it is not possible to download all these folders (at least 4000 folders) and files (more than 10000 docs) and create the folder tree structure from the beginning...
