Important notice: Migration is needed from the legacy ASAP to the latest ASAP Zoho Desk flow

AlertWe recommend upgrading to the latest version, as the older version will eventually be discontinued and will no longer receive any further enhancements or bug fixes. 

We are announcing an important update concerning the ASAP help widget in Zoho Desk. The older ASAP flow, available on both web and mobile platforms, will soon be discontinued. We urge all customers currently using the old configuration to transition to the new ASAP Help Widget. Please note that this confirmation is valid for a limited period of one month only.

What is changing?  

  • In the old flow, ASAP web and mobile were managed separately, with limited feature support.
  • In the new version, the web and mobile are unified under a single configuration, enabling seamless sync and access to the latest features across both platforms.
The new ASAP Help Widget was launched last year, and since then, all significant enhancements and updates have been built exclusively on this version. We are now officially phasing out the older version of ASAP.
NotesPlease note that no further enhancements, bug fixes, or support will be available for the older version. We encourage all customers to transition their existing configurations to the latest version to ensure they continue to receive updates and support.

Mobile SDK: Upgrade to the latest version of Mobile SDK.

What are the latest enhancements?

Supported in both the web and mobile SDK:

Setup 

  • Introduced a single configuration for ASAP web and mobile
  • Users can now select specific modules to be displayed on individual platforms
  • Integrated Business Messaging (BM) Chat with ASAP
  • Separate cards for GC, Answer Bot, SalesIQ and Business Messaging
  • Supported the welcome (greeting) message
  • Implemented the JWT authentication mechanism
  • Support for customising themes, logos, wallpaper uploads, and positioning of the ASAP widget
  • Addition of interactive cards to the ASAP home page

Visitor

  • Multiple layout support in the Add Ticket form
  • Filtering of tickets and topics by status, department, accounts, and any additional criteria
  • Allow editing of ticket properties on the Ticket Detail page

Supported only in the mobile SDK:

  • Introduction of text-to-speech in the community allows end-users to listen to the announcement topic instead of reading it
  • Introduction of in-topic search lets end-users easily search for relevant keywords on the community topic detail page
  • Exclusive ASAP SDK demo app for customers: A food app using the ASAP SDK demonstrates how the ASAP SDK can enhance a mobile app
