Important update: Migrate to the new SalesIQ live chat widget before April 14, 2026

The old SalesIQ live chat widget will be deprecated on April 14, 2026. This is a final reminder to migrate to the new SalesIQ live chat widget before this date.

After April 14, 2026, the old widget will no longer be maintained, which can lead to slower performance and reduced reliability over time. To ensure a fast, stable, and fully supported chat experience, all users must upgrade to the new widget.

What’s new in the new SalesIQ live chat widget?  

The new widget has been redesigned and optimized to deliver a better visitor experience and improved performance.

Key improvements include:

  1. Faster performance
    1. The new widget is ~90% smaller in size (600 KB → 60 KB)
    2. This results in significantly faster load times, especially on slower networks
    3. On very slow connections (like 2G), load time improvements can be as high as 80+ seconds
  2. Optimized loading (asynchronous execution)
    1. The widget loads asynchronously, meaning it does not block your website’s rendering
    2. Your website loads first, and the widget initializes smoothly in the background
  3. Improved engagement experience
    1. Redesigned interface for better usability and interaction
    2. Accessible for all users, built to support screen readers and assistive technologies for better inclusivity
    3. Keyboard-friendly navigation, visitors can fully use the widget without a mouse
    4. Optimized for global audiences, proper language handling ensures accurate interpretation across regions
  4. Future-ready platform
    1. All future updates, improvements, and new features will be supported only on the new widget

What happens if you continue using the old widget?  

If you continue using the old widget after April 14, 2026:
  1. The widget may load slower compared to the new version.
  2. No further updates, improvements, or maintenance will be provided.
  3. Some features may not work as expected in the future.
  4. Audio call support are not supported for the old widget.

To avoid these limitations, we strongly recommend migrating to the new widget.

How to switch to the new widget?

Migrating to the new widget requires updating the installation code on your website.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your SalesIQ dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Brands > Installation.
  3. Copy the chat widget code.
  4. Replace the existing (old) SalesIQ widget code on your website with the new updated code.
  5. Save and publish the changes on your website.

Once the new code is added, the new SalesIQ live chat widget will start loading on your website.

Please ensure that you replace the old widget code with the new updated SalesIQ widget code before April 14, 2026 to continue providing a seamless live chat experience for your visitors.
