Marketing Tip #15: Rank better with keyword-rich URLs for product pages


Your product page URL is a small detail that can make a surprisingly big difference. Clean, readable URLs help in two ways:
  1. They’re easier for customers to trust and remember (no one likes clicking a link that looks messy or random).

  2. They help search engines understand what the page is about, which can support better SEO over time.

For example, a URL like:
yourstore.com/products/organic-cotton-tshirt
is way clearer (for both people and Google) than:
yourstore.com/products/p12345?id=987.

Adding a few relevant keywords in your URL also keeps your store consistent and professional.

Try this today:
Pick popular products in your online store and update their URLs to be short, clear, and keyword-rich (ideally including the product name).

Steps:
In your Zoho Commerce web app, go to the Items menu from the left pane –> Click the Items module –> Click the item for which you want to update the URL –> Edit.

Optional but useful: If the product is already live and getting traffic, make sure a 301 redirect is enabled so old links still work.
