Moving cursor around causes flicker and high CPU usage

When I just move the cursor around an empty spreadsheet I can see my CPU being maxed out and the cursor flickering. This is openSUSE 10.3 Linux and Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SUSE/2.0.0.11-1.5 Firefox/2.0.0.11
