Sales reps work with and manage numerous business contacts on their phone that at times it can become overwhelming to figure out who is calling. The caller ID feature on iOS enables the sales person with key CRM information before they answer the call. They can be ever ready and can greet their customers with the right context giving their prospects a unique experience.
Little touches like this creates good vibes to start off a conversation and helps to build strong customer relationships.
The caller ID feature is available on the iOS CRM Mobile app and supported from iOS version 10. When a CRM contact calls you and if you have not stored the phone number of the contact in the mobile device's address book but have it in your CRM, you will still see the caller information when the CRM contact calls you.
How to setup Caller ID:
Go to mobile device's settings.
Phone
Call Blocking & Identification.
Check if Zoho CRM is enabled.

We have also created an additional layer of security to your CRM data. For the CRM callers information to be displayed in the Caller ID, please enable 'Caller ID' option within the 'Privacy&Security' settings of the CRM mobile app.
Refer the steps mentioned below to turn on 'Caller ID' within CRM mobile app:
Go to CRM mobile app.
Click the More option (3 lines at the bottom right corner).
Scroll down and select 'Settings'.
Select 'Privacy&Security'.
Turn on 'Caller ID'.

The caller ID of the CRM caller will be displayed in the Call log even for missed calls.

Points to be noted:
1. The phone's address book will take the first precedence. If the number is available in the device's address book, though the number is present in the CRM you will only be notified with the name that has been stored in the phone's address book.
2. Ensure that the international CRM contacts are stored along with the country code (for ex. +91987654321).
3. For the caller ID to function seamlessly, the phone number can be entered in the below mentioned formats. Ensure there are no spaces and other special characters in between the phone numbers.
This feature is specific to iOS and we are looking into bringing in support for this functionality in Android as well.
I hope you find this useful. Got a question? Leave a comment here and we will get back to you.
