Tip #64- Exploring Technician Console: Screenshot- 'Insider Insights'

Hello Zoho Assist Community!

Have you ever needed to capture exactly what's happening on a remote machine, whether to document an issue, guide a customer, or keep a record of your session? That's where the Screenshot feature in Zoho Assist comes in!

With just a click, you can capture the remote screen directly from the Technician Console, no need for third-party tools or manual workarounds.

What Is the Screenshot Feature?

The Screenshot option in Zoho Assist allows technicians to take an instant snapshot of the remote screen during an active support session. It's accessible right from the Session menu in the Technician Console.

This makes it easy to:

- Capture the current state of the remote desktop

- Document errors, configurations, or system states

- Save visual evidence for troubleshooting records

- Share screenshots with your team or include them in support tickets

How to Take a Screenshot During a Session

Start a remote support session and navigate to the Technician Console, click on Session in the left sidebar. Select Screenshot from the dropdown menu. The screenshot is instantly captured and saved for your reference.

It's that simple, no interruptions to your session, no switching tools!

Why is this Feature useful?

Screenshots are a simple but powerful tool in a technician's workflow. Here's why they matter:

- Visual Documentation: Capture errors or system states for accurate reporting.

- Better Communication: Share what you see on the remote machine with your team.

- Session Records: Maintain a visual log of what happened during a session.

- Customer Transparency: Show customers exactly what was observed and resolved.

- Faster Escalation: Attach screenshots to escalation tickets without leaving the console.

If you've used the Screenshot feature during a remote session, whether for documentation, escalations, or just to stay organized, we'd love to hear how it fits into your workflow!
