Tip of the Week #55 – Assign roles to inbox members


Ever heard the phrase, "Right people, right access"? That’s exactly what you can achieve in Zoho TeamInbox by assigning roles to your inbox members!
In any team, not everyone needs the same level of access to your shared inboxes. Some members may need full control, while others might just need to view or reply to conversations. Zoho TeamInbox’s Roles feature lets you define exactly what each member can see and do — keeping your data protected and your workflows smooth.
There are three roles at the inbox level of Zoho TeamInbox.
  1. Inbox admin- Can perform all of the inbox-level actions, including permanently deleting a thread.
  2. Inbox member- Can perform all of the inbox-level actions, but can’t delete a thread permanently.
  3. Inbox observer- Can view and follow threads and comments.
Inbox roles help divide responsibilities clearly. Admins have full control, members can take action without deleting threads permanently, and observers just keep an eye on things. This keeps things organized and avoids confusion. With the right roles, your team members can focus on the work that matters most.
