Typing maxes out CPU on Linux

Typing maxes out CPU on Linux

When I constantly type in Writer I can see my CPU maxed out and I can feel the slowness and see the cursor ("|") flicker. This is openSUSE 10.3 Linux with:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SUSE/2.0.0.11-1.5 Firefox/2.0.0.11

I do not get this behavior with other WYSIWYG editors (tinymce, google docs), also not when typing text in Zoho Notebook and Sheet.

I can also reproduce this on two other Linux systems.
