What's New in Zoho Billing | July 2026

July brings a new set of updates to Zoho Billing to make your billing operations more efficient. These include a redesigned checkout experience, expanded Hosted Payment Page capabilities, compliance improvements, enhanced reporting, and more.

Enhancements to Hosted Payment Pages

 Share Hosted Payment Page for Items   

You can now let customers purchase items online using Hosted Payment Pages. Share the page as a URL, QR code, or embed it on your website using an iframe or HTML button. Customers can complete their payment online, and Zoho Billing automatically creates an invoice or sales receipt after a successful payment, eliminating the need to create transactions in advance or manually follow up for payments.



To do this, go to Items > select an item > click Share Hosted Payment Page.

Experience the Redesigned Single Page Layout  

Zoho Billing now offers a redesigned Single Page Layout for Hosted Payment Pages. Customers can complete one-time purchases and subscriptions through a unified checkout flow, with the order summary, coupons, recommended addons, and price and tax breakdown visible at a glance.

The redesigned layout supports:
  1. Customer Portal sign-in and sign-up during checkout
  2. Auto-save and resume, allowing customers to continue from where they left off after leaving or refreshing the page
  3. Abandoned cart recovery

 This feature is currently in early access for organizations created before 24 July 2026. Reach out to us at support@zohobilling.com to have it enabled for your organization.  

Enable Mobile Number OTP Verification (India Edition)

Customers checking out through Hosted Payment Pages can now verify their identity using their registered mobile number in addition to email, providing a faster, mobile-first verification experience. When enabled, customers can also log in to the Customer Portal using the same mobile number OTP verification. After enabling mobile verification, you can customize the OTP SMS template in SMS Notifications settings.



To enable this, go to Settings > Hosted Payment Pages > Edit or create a template > User Verification Settings > select Verify with Email or Mobile. You can then configure if the verification should be done through SMS, email or both.

Configure Custom Fields

You can now configure Customer and Invoice Custom Fields in Hosted Payment Pages to collect additional information during checkout. You can manage the custom fields that should be displayed on the hosted payment page and its type. Learn More

Here's what you can do:
  1. Show or hide the field
  2. Set it as Mandatory, Optional, Read Only, or Hidden
  3. Reorder fields to control their display sequence

View the Payment Method Summary Report 

The new Payment Method Summary report provides an overview of the stored payment methods. It helps you monitor active, inactive, and expiring payment methods, along with the number of subscriptions associated with each. You can also use the Subscriptions by Payment Method drilldown report, where you can view subscription status, customer details, and subscription amounts.

 Track Active Subscriptions by Product and Country     

Get a clearer view of your active subscription base with two new reports in Zoho Billing.
  1. Active Subscriptions by Product  - View the number of active subscriptions for each product across different periods. Group the data by day or month to analyze daily changes or get a broader view of subscription trends.
  2. Active Subscriptions by Country - View the number of active subscriptions across countries over time. Group the data by day or month based on the level of detail you need.
These reports help you track how your active subscriptions change over time and identify the products or markets that are gaining or losing traction.

Import and Export TDS Taxes (India & Global Editions)  

You can now import and export TDS rates and TDS group taxes in bulk. This makes it easier to add or update multiple TDS rates without configuring each one individually, and export existing TDS data when you need it for review or record-keeping.

To do this, go to Settings > Direct Taxes > Income TDS Rates > More Icon > Import.

Configure Role-Based Access for SKU Field

You can now configure role-based permissions for the SKU field of an item. This lets you control whether users in each role can view and edit the SKU field, view it without making changes, or keep it hidden from them.


To configure access, go to Settings > General > Products > Fields, click the More icon next to SKU, and select Configure Access. Set the access for each role to Read and Write, Read Only, or Hidden, then click Save.
