What's new in Zoho Cliq - October/November 2020 updates

Cliq brings you some noteworthy and useful updates that you do not want to miss out on.

Cliq Web Updates

Convert your Group Chat into Channels in Cliq 

You can now turn a simple group conversation into a channel with the Convert to Channel option.

Here's how:

  1. Click on Actions in the chat window

  2. Select the Convert to Channel option.

  3. Select the type of channel you want to convert your group chat to

  • Organizational

  • Team

  • Personal

  • External

  1. Select your team(please note that this option will be available only if you have opted for team channel)

  2. Select visibility (please note that this option will not be available if you have opted for external channel and personal channel)

  3. Add participants to the existing group, if you would like to

  4. Enter a channel description

  5. Click on Convert to channel


Select your preferred time zone while creating an event via Cliq

 Hassle due to confusing time zones while scheduling meetings?  No worries, we've got you covered!  Now, Cliq allows you to add your preferred time zone while creating a calendar event or while scheduling a meeting.


Pause and play the GIFs on chat

You can now pause and play the GIFs, you receive. 



New enhanced interface for channel creation

Channel creation made even simpler with the new friendly interface.


Power Shortcut for messages

You can now access the message action menu with a simple right-click on a message. Here are the message actions that'll be available:

  • Select
  • Forward
  • Copy
  • Fork from here
  • Set Reminder
  • Mark as Unread
  • Edit
  • Delete
  • Copy Message URL
  • Pin message
  • More  

Cliq Android Updates

The most requested update "Read receipts" is now available for Cliq Android. Another exciting update in Android is the enhanced Cliq document scanner, that allows you to digitize your paper work in a jiff. Read on to know more!

Read receipts in Cliq's Android App!

Now you’ll be able to see, when a message has been read by the recipient in both direct messages and in groups with the visual indication of double tick. A quick tap on the double tick will display the message read information.



Digitize your paper work with Cliq Document Scanner

With Cliq's Document Scanner you can convert your documents, digitize your paperwork and share them with ease. 

Here's how:

Tap attach (+) -->Scanner --> Scan your document --> Save --> Send.
