Hello everyone!
We're back with new updates. This month, we've focused on features that provide payment flexibility to your customers and help bring more traction to your hosted payment pages. Both of which can be helpful during this pandemic. Read on to learn more.
Partial Payments for Subscriptions with Auto-charge Enabled
Your customers can now make partial payments for their subscriptions! Partial payments can be useful for collecting advance or good faith payments from your customers.
Here's how it works:
Whenever your customers make a payment via the customer portal or an invoice payment link, they will be able to pay with any amount of their choice. This does not exempt them from paying the rest of the invoice amount though, and they will have to pay the rest of the invoice amount as per the subscription's payment terms. You can auto-charge your customers with partial amounts from Zoho Subscriptions' web application as well.
To enable this feature, go to Settings > Preferences > Subscriptions > Mark the Enable Partial Payments option.
Customization for the Payment Initiated Email Template
We've made a minor enhancement to the Payment Initiated email template, which is sent out to your customers whenever they make an ACH or Direct Debit payment. The From email address, which was previously your organization's primary email address, can now be changed to an email address that belongs to any of your organization's contact persons.
Social Share Buttons for the Hosted Payment Pages
The new social share buttons, which can be displayed on your hosted payment pages, let your customers share your hosted payment page's link to their own social media (Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp) handles. This can be useful if you run a donation-based business or campaign and can get your hosted payment pages across to more people.
You can customize the content that accompanies these buttons on your hosted payment page, as well as the default message that will be shared by your customers. Your customers will be able to edit this message when they choose to share.
To configure this, go to Settings > Hosted Payment Pages > Layout > Mark the Enable Social Share Buttons option.
