We have a use-case that is very common in today's world, but won't work in Zoho CRM. We have an SDR (Sales Development Rep) who makes many calls per day to Leads and Contacts, and schedules meetings for our primary Sales Reps. He does this by logging calls in Zoho Calls Module and then creating meetings using the Meetings module in Zoho CRM when they are set.
The issue is that there is a mandatory field called Meeting Location and that has a choice in the drop down for 'Online'. If you select this, the system forces you to integrate an online meeting service. It will NOT let you make 'Online' be another generic selection like the others. It should be optional to connect that to a service or not, leaving it as a generic selection.
The problem with being forced to connect a service is that a single SDR can be making meeting appointments for 10 different Sales Reps during a single day. So what Zoom account does he connect to his Zoho CRM account so that he can select 'Online' as the Meeting Location? If he uses his own Zoom account, he can never have two meetings with two different reps scheduled at the same time/day. If he uses individual rep's Zoom accounts, he'd have to disable whatever account is currently connected and connect/integrate a different reps account each time he creates a meeting for a different rep. That again, is not sustainable at all.
The only way that works is if there was another field that appeared after selecting Zoom that could be programmed to have the Zoom account information for all 10 reps and make those the choices available. So the SDR could then create the Zoom meetings for each rep without having do anything beyond the initial setup.
Lastly, there is no way to work around it by adding another more generic choice to the Meeting Location dropdown, like 'Virtual', and let a rep create the Zoom invite on their own because that Meeting Location parent field doesn't allow the addition of any more sub-field choices.
