Hi Zoho Projects team,

I would love to see a feature to allow Strict Dates for Tasks.

Sometimes in projects you have dates which must not move, even if predecessor Task dates change.

For example, perhaps you need to book access to a facility to perform a task and it needs to be booked weeks in advance. Even if other tasks on the timeline move, nothing must affect the start and end date of this task. It is essentially locked unless the dates are manually updated.

Another example, perhaps you need to book a contractor or 3rd party resource to perform a project activity. They are booked in advance based on when they can add the work to their schedule. This is an agreed date and must not change without discussion with resource. This is another strict date scenario.

Another example, your project is a product launch and the launch date is specifically timed to coincide with other industry events, it must not change if other task dates change on the timeline and it will prevent any other tasks from be moved if they "bump into" this strict task.

I hope you can see the value of this feature and I kindly ask you to consider it for development.
