Zoho Subscriptions Rewind 2016 - Major Feature Releases

Let me start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year :)

This 2016, Zoho Subscriptions had a lot of major feature releases and improvements over the last year. In this post, I've compiled some of the notable features we've released this year that you should definitely be aware of.

A fresh customized User Interface

Our major release this year, started with the UI revamp. Those were some impressive changes focused to make Zoho Subscriptions more easy to use than it was before. For example, the left navigation bar was made more wider for easy access and the icons were replaced by texts. Also, themes were later added to customize the look and feel of the application.

Australia and Canada Edition

This year, we also released the Australian and Canada edition of Zoho Subscriptions. Customers in these countries can now generate invoices with appropriate taxes (GST/HST in Australia and Sales in Canada).

If you're looking for an easier, faster and smarter way to communicate with your customers, then Client Portal is the answer. With Zoho Subscriptions, you can invite your clients to the portal and allow them to view their subscriptions, invoices, make online payments and also update card information.

And, that's not even the best part. Client Portal supports - English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese and Deutsch so that you can change the Client Portal's language specific to your customers'. Learn more about Client Portal here.

Integrations

On the integration front, we've had a bag of additions and enhancements.

Payment Gateways - WePay and Razorpay

 - WePay - WePay was introduced to US merchants to chop down the time involved in creating merchant account and to provide new payment opportunities. With WePay, you can create merchant account in minutes and it has many advantages like no setup or monthly fee and competitively priced transaction fee standing at 2.75% + 30 Cents per transaction. - Razorpay - With our growing customer base in India, we thought they needed their exclusive payment gateway to collect their recurring payments and Razorpay was our answer. Razorpay offered seamless checkout experience for one-time and recurring payments, with a host of payment options including card payments, multiple wallet offerings, and net banking with over 50 banks. Learn more about it here.

Notifications

- Slack - Slack integration was focused to bring in all your business notifications such as new subscription, payment failure etc. to your smartphone's lock screen. Learn more about it here.

Tax

- Avalara - The tax rates are specific to location and subject to vary from time to time. Keeping track of all the changes is complicated enough. With Avalara AvaTax, our customers in U.S.A and Canada need their customers' addresses for tax computation to be automated. Learn more about it here.

Reports - Lost Opportunities and Sales by Plan

Lost opportunities - This report gives you details about subscribers you lost when they tried subscribing through your hosted page but couldn't. It contains details like email address, card number, reason for failure etc, so that you can follow up with them later.

Sales by Plan - This report gives all your sales figures and insights by plan, quantity and much more. You don't have to dust off anymore of your old records books to find out the sales you’ve made.

Import/ Export

We've been not only focusing on our existing customers but also for the customers who are interested in moving to Zoho Subscriptions. To make their migration process the least of their worries we support almost all the necessary modules that has needs to be imported from their existing subscription solution like customers, plans, addons, coupons and customers’ payments and invoices. Also, you can export these modules as well. Learn more about it here.

That's is all for this year's biggest releases!
