Calculating a cell in a table in writer
Hi I am trying to create a simple invoice using writer. I can insert a table but can not work out if you can perform calculations within the table, such as tax and grand total. Do I need to use Sheet to do this? I know that there is a paid product available, but we do not generate that many invoices, around 10 a month, so a simple document will do.. Steve

Office Plugin not working
1) In "Word" i click on the zoho document i want to open repeatedly, and nothing happens. 2) In "Excel" When I click to open a Zoho doc, I get "error opening the workbook" Using XP and Office 2003 Thanks!
Offline Editing of Writer Documents
Folks, One of the most eagerly awaited features asked for is out now. Zoho Writer now provides users with offline editing capabilities. What this means for you folks is that documents can be created, viewed & edited even when one is not connected to internet. Users on the move where there is limited(weak Wi-Fi) or no internet connectivity like aeroplanes, cabs, remote villages do not have to wait to get online and access their Zoho Writer documents. They can now access and edit the Writer documents
paste options box
When I paste something into a document, the option box pops up, but checking what I prefer does not work. ALso, the box does not go away, How do I fix this?

AuthSub target path prefix does not match the provided "next" URL. Google docs says I must contact zoho re this problem. please help
my biggest gripe
When I am using ZOHO writer and I want to edit a passage of text by using the "delete" key to go back (only on Macs), the browser understands this command as me wanting to go to the previously viewed web page. This is very frustrating. If ZOHO writer did not autosave every few moments, I would probably have turned my nice shiny laptop into a very expensive frisbee.Is there a way to disable this function? I understand this may be a browser specific issue but it is frustrating nonetheless. Can someone
Paste options box won't go away....
When I paste something into a document, the paste options back (in addition to not doing what I check) will not away for several minutes. ANy way to get rid of it quicker?
Bulk-edit tags
I really like Zoho's tag/folder system. I'm gathering a decent number of docs, though, and I would REALLY appreciate an option to bulk-edit the tags. Basically I get annoyed when I have to open each individual doc just to edit the tags. It's cumbersome!
security of Zoho site
2 days ago I used zoho writer to make a personal document using my full name which I have never done on any computer before. Today I received spam telling me I've won a lottery on the internet. This of course is a fraudulent scam but it concerns me that someone was able to access my personal document so fast through this site even when I have a secure procedure such as HTTPS encrypted setting activated.
Ordered Lists and a new line
Is there any way to have a line break in an ordered list without ending the list and still having everything properly indented? Here's what I'm looking for: 1. Ok I have some stuff here and I type bla bla bla Word wraps to next line and then I end my sentence. I have some more to write here. 2. Now I start my second item in the list I was able to accomplish this somewhat above as you can see, but I wasn't able to use an ordered list and had to use spaces to get the alignment right, and even
double spaces after sentences.
Back in high school or college I was always taught to use two spaces after ending a sentence with a period. However, if you do this in Zoho Writer and your sentence happens to end at the end of a line then the first letter of your next sentence will appear slightly indented on the next line below
Zoho Forums Registration Audio CAPTCHA suggestion
This is with respect to Zoho Forums registration. Instead of just giving a CAPTCHA, you can try to bring in a Audio CAPTCHA so that users can feel comfortable hearing the sound and typing it. MSN and similar sites have this type of Audio CAPTCHA.
Write Table funcionality - Adapt size of a cell the size of the content
Good funcionality in Excel and very useful, i dont know why, Zoho table cells are too big every time => tables and too big for included information => bad user experience. We need right click table menu funcionality Fit cell size to content size and at default size of size very similar size of 1 line of text (now is by default 2 lines of more). Great can be also, mod which i know from MS Frontpage, best visual editor ever, which automaticly changing size of cells during typing. I also miss functionality

Wieso ist denn dies ZOHO Writer Programm nicht in der Lage ganz hundsgewöhnliche, sehr kleine (zwei TextSeiten) Word Dateien zu i m p o r t i e r e n ohne gleich sämtliche Formatierungen zu ruinieren und komplett wegzuschaffen, das ist doch eine Katastrophe !!
Equation editor bug
i have found that enlarging an equation in the editor led to the omission of an addition sign. Also, I would like to know if there is a way of producing larger equations by default; the ones currently produced are tiny and also do not change in size with respect to a change in font.
iPad keyboard
How do I access the iPad keyboard, especially within the body of text within writer. Writer seems superb BUT without a keyboard....... !
custom dialog box
Is there any possible way of creating custom dialog boxes with custom content within writer? Scenario is it would be great to be able to provide Help links for various sections of the document that would open in standard dialog box. I have no idea how to do this in MS word either, so I may be out of my mind for asking. Thanks in advance.
lost versions
it seems that about 18 days of editing have been lost in all of my writer documents - for example the last available version for document 'osnovni zaplet' is 11.6 - 18 days ago, and i had been editing almost every day during the last 18 days. i don't remember the version numbers, but for sure, each day that i logged in, there were the correct versions and (more important) the correct text, unil today. (i didn't log in during this weekend.) now, it seems that the system has reverted all the documents
FONTS AND SPELLCHECK
i HAVE TRIED TO SPELLCHECK ON ONE WORD AND IT DOES NOT WORK - i CAN ONLY SPELL CHECK THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT. FUNNY THAT IT WORKD IN THIS BOX, BUT NOT IN MY DOCUMENT. I I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO USE MORE FONTS AND FOR IT TO RETAIN FORMATTING OF A WORD DOCUMENT. PLEASED THAT IT WILL IMPORT LUCIDA CALLIGRAPHY.I AM NOT SHOUTING - JUST USING CAPITALS TO GET LARGER PRINT.
Page Up and Down Keys broken
Hi, I could not find any reference to this in the forums so pardon me if this is a known issue. The page up and down keys do not work properly for me in any Writer document which I am editing. The page down key always re-positions the page to one page down from the top regardless of where the page was positioned before (e.g., even if I am at the bottom of the page). Page up repositions the document to the very top, again regardless of its prior state. I am running Firefox 3.6.12 on Window SP3.
Processing time too long.....
It takes a long time to process and save the text which was copied from the other sources...So i got irritated and i started using my local desktop text editor to save those files....
Document is blank
Current documents are showing up OK, but when I go to older ones that I made, for example in 2008, they are blank. This situation occurs in Chrome and in Firefox. I have faith in you that they are still there, but could you let me see them please? Thanks. I do need them for classes coming up, so there is some urgency.
Work Space template or Tab template
I use 5 documents (5 Tabs) for 1 project at the same time. ...However every time I log on I have to re open these tabs one by one. Is there a way I can leave these tabs open or maybe 1 click and I can get my desired work space?...Thank you Marco
Export functionality bugs
I created a document in Writer. I have added the "Table of Contents", Page breaks, and have used the Heading and other formatting. But when this document is exported, most of the formatting is awkward and also the Table of Contents is missing.I exported it as a word doc.IMHO Export should be robust, as organizations who use Zoho writer may need to send the exported doc to clients who will open the same in a word / word viewer.Kindly address this problem.Thanks,karen
Hyphenation?
I tried to activate hyphenation in Zoho but have not been succesful. Also the FAQ section does not mention how one can turn this feature on (cannot imagine that there is no hyphenation support available, after all, this feature is one of the most basic word processing features at all, I remember that already word processing for my Commodore 64 offered hyphenation). Clipboard access problem on IE
Hi, Could you tell me if Zoho Writer has changed so that no clipboard access allowed on all IE versions? It used to work before but now, none of the IE version is working for cut/copy/paste. I even went into the Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Scripting and enable 'Allow Programmatic clipboard access' but still it display a dialog asking me to use Ctrl + C instead. Ruler always on landscape, also if page layout on portrait
I encountered a strange issue that makes working with Writer very tiresome. I usually use portrait format for letters and have also set up the page layout accordingly. Nevertheless, the ruler and what is shown in the browser seems to remain on landscape format (11.5 inches wide). This is very cumbersome as one never knows what the final format looks like, e.g. when inserting pictures or using titles etc. When changing the page layout through the ruler by e.g. setting the right indent to 7.5
Selecting multiple lines
I tried to select multiple lines to remove the numbering but only the numbering on the first line was removed.
new bugs (writer, using outline)
Thanks for your great service. And thanks for solving some earlier bugs. I try to bear with them, as you're good and free and "beta". However, two new ones are esp annoying:1] The cursor occasionally jumps left, causing words to get "srambled|c" as a letter or two already typed gets pushed ahead of the cursor.2] Paste causes the doc to jump to the very end. (The formating is also messed up, but i just fix that the way i do other formating glitches ;^)I only use outline, so that's where i've had these
Headers / Footers are cut-off on the right side
When i use Headers and Footers, they are cut-off on the right side (approx. 0.3 to 0.5 cm of the right side of the header / footer is not shown). How can i change the width of header / footer? Any other idea how I can solve this issue? Thanks in advance for any tips, GG

I put an anchor in a document and created a link to it. When I click on the link, it doesn't go to the anchor but opens up a new tab and creates a new document. Am I doing something wrong?

There is slowness in page/file/book loading in Zoho Writer and Notebook which I tried. Every time I switch from one open file in to another open file in Zoho Writer which have tabs like in browsers, it doesn't load it from cache, so it takes sometime to switch from one file to another in Zoho Writer even they're open and haven't been changed since I closed them. I also met this problem in Zoho Notebook when tried to switch from one book/page to another even they were open and hadn't been changed
Odd behavior when applying formatting offline, especially strikethrough
Dear Zoho team and users, I am seeing some odd behavior when working offline and trying to apply formatting. This happens most frequently with strikethrough, but occasionally with italicizing, underlining and bold. Basically, it's just very difficult to apply the formatting you want to selected text. Sometimes clicking twice works, sometimes only half of the selected text will be formatted in the way you want, sometimes it will work after trying once by selecting with the mouse and then trying again

Copy and Pasted Text Behaves Erratically
Firstly, I'm a long time user of Zoho apps. I always extol the virtues of Zoho to my students and colleagues. But I have a serious problem in the writer app. Problem: When copying and pasting text from another source (ie: Google Docs, simple online forms, even Zoho Notebook text ), the pasted text behaves erratically upon further formatting in the Writer app. Behavior: When trying to block indent a text segment, entire text indents. When trying to center a text segment, entire text centers.
When pasting in a text in Writer the document can't be edited

Tried To Print And Now My Screen Resolution Is Screwed
I tried to print from within Zoho Writer in Chrome 8.0.552.28 beta on Mac OS X (10.6.4). When I did, everything on the screen in Zoho Writer shrunk to miniscule size - I can't make out the icons, the menus are illegible, and the text of my document is also tiny. I have tried clearing cookies, no joy. I have tried clearing all browser data - no joy. It looks fine in other browsers now, and other Zoho apps look ok. Writer is the only one that's screwed up.

criei um de meus textos dia 11 de outubro e quase todo dia escrevia mais um pouco, tendo no mínimo cinco páginas. Hoje dia 7 de novembro, quando abri minha conta, meu texto desapareceu. EXIJO que recuperem meu texto, já que não é algo que de para fazer igual.
