Incident response is an organized approach to addressing and managing an incident. The goal isn't just to solve the incident but to handle the situation to limit damage and reduce recovery time and costs.


  • With the PagerDuty extension, you can quickly view, manage, and monitor incidents directly from the PagerDuty Widget under the Incidents tab, with details like title, urgency, and assignee.
  • Take immediate action by resolving, reassigning, or adding notes to incidents and filtering them based on status for better focus. You can seamlessly switch between services to handle incidents across different teams or projects.
  • Use the /viewincidents slash command to access your incident list in any chat instantly.
Incidents are triggered when an active service (on-call, not disabled, or in maintenance mode) receives an event. They escalate automatically based on the service’s escalation policy, ensuring swift and efficient resolution.
  • Zoho Cliq offers multiple convenient ways to create and trigger incidents! Use the "Create Incident" button in the Incidents tab, transform messages into incidents with the Create Incident message action, or leverage the /incident slash command and Create Incident bot menu action. Simply fill in key details like title, impacted service, assignee, priority, urgency, and description.

Bot Calls


Centralize alerts to improve response times by keeping teams connected and proactive during critical incidents. This can be achieved by mapping Cliq channels to services and enabling bot call alerts. Designate specific users to receive instant notifications. When an incident is triggered, the assigned user will receive an immediate bot call with an automated explanation of the outage that includes the title and nature of the incident.

During the call, engineers can quickly take action using intuitive buttons:
  • Acknowledge: Confirm that you've received the alert and are on it!
  • Resolve: Harness the opportunity to tackle and resolve the incident in real-time, cutting down response time significantly.
  • Reassign: If the situation is urgent or the assigned engineer is engaged, you can escalate the alert to senior engineers or reassign it to someone available.


Track and Visualize Service Insights

  • Rapidly monitor service performance and incident trends in the PagerDuty Widget under the Service Insights tab.
  • Essential metrics are displayed in vibrant bar or line graphs, making it easy to grasp service performance. Additionally, you can filter insights by specific dates or compare services to spot trends and identify improvement areas!
  • Track the entire service lifecycle across different services by analyzing incident statuses alongside Priority, Urgency, and Severity.
