Calendar invites (.ics attachment) missing when viewing email on mobile site

Calendar invites (.ics attachment) missing when viewing email on mobile site

When someone sends me a calendar invite as a .ics attachment, the attmnt isn't shown when I access the email on the mobile site.  In a browser on a pc the attachment is there.

This means that I can't see the details of the invite on my mobile device.

My device is a Sony Experia Mini Pro running Android 2.3.4.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
