Client script setVisibility() of a field in Canvas Detail page returns unsupported action

I'm trying to hide a field on the Canvas Details page when the page loads.

This should work as per the docs: https://static.zohocdn.com/crm/9254769/documentation/ZDK-1.0-M2/Field.html

var fieldStatus = ZDK.Page.getField("Status");
log(fieldStatus.getValue());
fieldStatus.setVisibility(false);

Instead it returns "unsupported action"
