I am evaluating Zoho Inventory as we are being pushed off Tradegecko in the middle of the year.
I can't see how we can recreate composite products to replace the bundling solution we had in Tradegecko.
We sell individual items on Shopify that we also need to sell as bundles. With the Shopify - Zoho connector it looks like products can only be created in Shopify and then pushed to Zoho, and within Zoho you can't convert an item to a composite item.
Our biggest example is we sell skis and the most common package is a Ski & Binding package - creating this package really helped our conversion as prior to this a lot of customers would get stuck at the stage of choosing a binding.
Here is how it needs to work:
Package Item:
Saleable items that compose the package:
Package item comes in 154cm, 161cm and 168cm lengths - and each of those lengths is a Shopify Variant, which would need to be a composite item in Zoho.
BUT
We need to be able to sell the stock of the separate skis and the bindings independently without any bundling 'reserving' stock, and the inventory of the package product to be a based on the availability of the base items. Ie if we have 2 skis and 6 bindings in stock, the inventory of the package would be 2.
We imported our inventory to Zoho but I can't see how we can convert any of these items to composite items, and given we can't create items in Zoho and push them to Shopify I'm pretty stuck!
