Creating a subset of Contacts and deleting one

When I create a sub-set of contacts from a Tag, and then delete one or more from the sub-set, will I find the deleted one in the primary Tag Contacts?

See the screen capture attached and the two contacts checked off in red are the two I want to exclude from this mass email while keeping them in the primary contact list under Municipal Police.
