Creator App, Auto Generated form comes in .pdf, can it be altered to .xls

Creator App, Auto Generated form comes in .pdf, can it be altered to .xls

In the Creator App we have created a form for requesting test products. When this form is completed and submitted zoho creator generates an email with a .pdf copy of that filled out form and starts a workflow. Is there a way to change that auto generated pdf copy to .xls format? I am trying to have that auto-populate an excel document that we track all information on. I see that those pdfs might be a one time, not stored anywhere form. Are they really not stored anywhere?
