CRM: Filter Contacts by custom Account Field?

CRM: Filter Contacts by custom Account Field?

Has anyone figured out how to create a custom view of Contacts in CRM that uses a custom Account field as the filter? Example is that I want to send a mass email but only to my "Customers". I have a customer Account field called Account Type which has values like Customers, Vendors, etc.
