Deal lookup field is now available for Invoices module in CRM

Dear All,

We are glad to introduce the Deal Name lookup field in the Invoices module.

Thus far, the invoices module had lookup fields to associate records from accounts and contacts modules, by default. On the other hand, the Quotes and Sales Order modules had lookup field for the Deals module, besides the Accounts and Contacts. During conversion of a quote or a sales order into an invoice, the deal information associated with the quotes and sales order module, wasn't converted automatically. Although users could create a custom lookup field into the Deals module, it was time-consuming.

Hence, to reduce the manual work, we have now added Deal Name lookup field in the Invoices module by default. This will help users to associate deals directly while creating an invoice, or carry forward the deals information while converting a quote into an invoice.

For existing users: Deal Name lookup field will be available on the tray of unused fields. They can simply drag it into their layout and use it if required for the invoices.

For users who manually set up a custom deal lookup in Invoices, we've provided an option to map the existing field with Deal Name in Sales Order and Quotes.

For new sign-ups: It is available in the layout by default.
