toDateTimeString() function
We've introduced a new built-in function, toDateTimeString(), which has been designed for efficient management of date and time data. The essence of this function is seen in its ability to streamline time conversion, providing a more efficient approach to managing timestamps.

Apart from time conversion, this function also adjusts input date-time values to various formats, improving compatibility, as well as seamlessly converting dates and times between different time zones.

Use case
Consider a global finance application that records transactions across various time zones. The toDateTimeString function can be utilized to standardize the presentation of transaction timestamps. When a user initiates a transaction, the function ensures that the timestamp is converted to a universally accepted date-time format, irrespective of the user's time zone. This results in consistent transaction tracking, and streamlines auditing and reporting, offering a seamless and uniform user experience globally.

Rebranded Zoho Subscriptions tasks
As you might be aware, Zoho Subscriptions has recently been rebranded as Zoho Billing. To ensure a seamless transition and to reflect this change across our systems, we've conducted a comprehensive backend update to all Deluge tasks. Specifically, the "zoho.subscriptions" in all syntaxes has been replaced with "zoho.billing"

What happens to your scripts?
There's nothing to worry about! Our backend magic will be in full swing in Deluge editors across Zoho services. In all instances of your existing scripts, the "zoho.subscriptions" will be updated to "zoho.billing".

We've also be taking care of the new scripts that you come up with in the future. Going forward, when you type "zoho.subscriptions" in any Deluge editor then this will automatically be corrected to "zoho.billing". However, please be aware that this autocorrect feature is available only until November, 2024.

Documentation
We also recommend that you explore the refreshed documentation for the Zoho Billing integration tasks for more detailed information.

Indian locale support in toWords()
The toWords() function now transforms input numbers into words for enhanced comprehension. We've included built-in support for the Indian number system, which can be configured by using the "en-in" code in the syntax.

Benefits
You can use the toWords() function with Indian numbering system support to help make numerical values align with local conventions. Overall, this helps you ensure your Indian users get a more localized and user-friendly experience.

      • Function #41: Sync Associated Subforms!

        Welcome back everyone! The last custom function showed how to update a Contact with Product details from it's Related list in Deals. This week, let's look at a function that lets you update subform records in two modules simultaneously when one of them is updated. Business scenario Let's look at how subform helps in an education institution that has deployed Zoho CRM. National Public School, Austin (made up, of course!) has set up Zoho CRM and it follows the same relationship pattern of "Students",
