Different Report sharing filters within same Dashboard

I have a question about sharing filters for a dashboard which contains separate reports built from the same query. Below are the pieces of the puzzle:

 - “Sales Query”: line-level query containing sales for a team of 5 sales reps; there’s no need for the reps to be able to see this query, only its dependent reports and dashboard.

 - “Sales Report 1”: built using “Sales Query”; essentially the same data in report format and filtered to the current year. Should be filtered such that each rep can see only their own records based on their login email (“Sales Report 1” .“Rep Email"= ${system.login.email})

 - “Sales Report 2”: also built using “Sales Query”; team-wide aggregate of a specific sales category which is only pertinent to one of the 5 reps, we’ll call them Rep_1. Rep_1 needs to be able to see the full team aggregate, not limited to just their own records. Reps 2-5 don’t need to see this report, it’s irrelevant for them.

 - “Sales Dashboard”: contains “Sales Report 1” and “Sales Report 2”; used by all 5 sales reps.

I’m wondering if the following approach will work:

“Sales Query”: not shared at all, obviously no sharing filter criteria

“Sales Report 1”: shared with group called “Sales Team” (includes all 5 reps) with sharing filter criteria “Sales Report 1” .“Rep Email"= ${system.login.email}

“Sales Report 2”: shared only with Rep_1, not the group, no sharing filter criteria

“Sales Dashboard”: shared with “Sales Team” group, no sharing filter criteria but “Apply Parent Table Filter Criteria” box is checked
