Domain / Sub-Domain Crossing

Hi,

I'm encountering an issue with user tracking. Our main website is https://www.espatial.com, and our product is located at https://maps.espatial.com. We log user information when they complete our sign up form. But we're encountering several instances where we're storing unusual information when the user crosses domains, one possible example is:
  1. User starts at https://www.espatial.com
  2. Clicks Login and is brought to https://maps.espatial.com
  3. Clicks the logo at the top to get back to https://www.espatial.com
  4. Click the sign up form
In these unusual cases the referrer URL and first visited URL are from the same domain (maps.espatial.com), has anyone encountered this issue before and if so, how did you go about resolving the issue?
