Fatal flaw

Hello.

I was very impressed by some of Zoho's features, but one problem seems, to me, a fatal flaw:

The system requires us to define dependencies between activities AND starting and finishing dates for them as well. That is precisely a key feature of a planning tool -- given the dependencies between activities, when shoud we start each of the critical ones, in order to complete the project on time. This is also how we calculate the necessary time for the project, given the way we plan to execute it and the estimated duration of each activity.

Asking us to enter dates AND dependencies renders Zoho am anti-planning tool: we have to do all the planning and Zoho just tells us if our calculations were right or wrong.

Am I missing something? Did I fail to locate the planning feature of Zoho? I would really like to use it as our online planning platform, at Table Partners.
