Filtering of Tasks/Subtasks

I have many tasks, in a task list, and those tasks have up to four levels of subtasks.

Is there a way to show only "matching" tasks when filtering - not higher level (in the subtask hierachy)?

What i'm seeing is that when i filter in the Classic View - it is showing me "ALL" of the higher level tasks even when those don't match my filter, if one lower level task "DOES" match my filter.

Due to the number of tasks in the hierachy, it's as if there is still no filter applied - even though there obviously is.

One use case of this is that i have a sub task - with multiple subtasks (more than 20). Each of the level 3 tasks is assigned to a different team member. However when that team member filters for "their" tasks, they also see all of the other tasks not assigned to their work list. This is very confusing.

Task Inline Editing Enhancement
Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values. Customers pointed us the inline editing was very useful to them & how much they miss that in 4.0. Based on the feedback, we have rolled out this enhancement.
