Function #1: Convert an accepted Estimate to Sales Order automatically in Zoho Books
As you’re aware, Zoho Books provides a default option to have the estimates automatically converted to invoices once your customer accepts them. Many of you wanted a similar option for sales orders, so here’s a workflow that converts accepted estimates to sales orders automatically.
Custom Function:
To create the custom function, go to Settings -> Automation -> Custom Functions -> +New Custom Function.
You can obtain the function script from this GitHub link. Don't forget to create a Connection by the name "zbooks" to make this function work. Here's a GIF file that shows you how the connection can be created.
Workflow Rule:
After creating the custom function in Zoho Books, you must set up a workflow rule to trigger it automatically. Here's how to configure the workflow: Go to Settings -> Automation -> Workflow Rules -> +New Workflow Rule. Create the workflow as shown below.
In the final step of the workflow, choose the custom function you created and then save.
