Help with adding custom fields

Help with adding custom fields

On my desktop, I added a new field under Contacts and named it "Notes".  It was in brown font instead of black, and when I added text in the box, nothing showed up in the app on my iPhone... not the text or even the Notes box for the text.... Any ideas?
