How do I avoid chat users from getting Customer Poratl invites

How do I avoid chat users from getting Customer Poratl invites

It seems that when somebody went on a chat and gave us their e-mail, the system automatically sends them an invite to join our customer portal. How do I stop this function!? we do not want them to join our portal at this stage!!!?
