How to use QR codes to lookup a record

Hi all

I've designed a simple equipment record and maintenance tracking app. Everything works fine, but we are planning to have QR codes on equipment that can link straight to its own record.

Rather than get URLs for the equipment records from the QR code using the user's camera app, I want them to be able to scan a QR code from within the app and then be redirected to the relevant record.

I've setup a form with just a URL field that populates using a QR code before the form is displayed, but I don't know how to make this show or redirect to a record. It can either be shown on the same page, or redirect to the record itself.

Does anyone know how I might be able to do this?
