Important Notice to Zoho Mail Indian DataCentre (IN DC) deployment users!

Hello all!

Greetings from Zoho Mail team.

As part of our commitment to high availability, we are expanding our infrastructure and as a part of it, we are including additional IP ranges for Zoho Mail IN data centre. The new IPs will be put to use in multiple areas, including our servers used for MX/ POP/ IMAP/ SMTP servers and application servers used for accessing the webmail. Ideally there will be no or minimal impact for the users as we generally do not recommend customers to use our IP addresses directly for any purpose, given that IPs are subject to change. The foolproof process is to use the corresponding hostnames like mx.zoho.in, imappro.zoho.in, mail.zoho.in, etc instead of hard-coded IP addresses.

Who will be impacted?

If you have already used the recommended host names, there will be no changes required at your end. In case you have used the IP addresses of any of our MX/ POP/ IMAP/ SMTP servers in your applications or other places, you need to make some modifications. Given below are some of the examples where you might have configured IPs:

(i) You are using an external Spam Gateway to receive incoming mails and routing them to Zoho Mail MX record IPs

(ii) Your Organization Administrator expects mail.zoho.in to resolve to a finite set of IPs to allow webmail access from your corporate network

(iii) You have used the IP of smtp.zoho.in to send mail from external applications

The existing IP range is 103.103.196.0/23 and the additional IP ranges will be 169.148.148.0/23 & 169.148.146.0/23. We have listed below the IPs corresponding to specific hostnames that we will start using. You can add the entire range of the IP address, to avoid any issues. Note that the existing IP will also be retained. The new IPs will be live from 16th Feb 2022.

NOTE : This change is applicable only to the users in the Indian DataCentre (IN DC) deployment. If you accessed this forum post by clicking the banner published in your account, then your account is hosted in IN DC. However we request Organization Admins to follow the steps below to cross-check their account's data centre:

Log in to Zoho Mail account.
Go to https://accounts.zoho.in/ (Confirm your password again).
Click your profile image/ icon on the top right to view your data centre details.
