Improvement Suggestions On The New Timesheet Grid View

This morning I discovered the new Grid view for the Timesheet module. I'm always happy to see new features rolling out for Zoho Projects, but I think this view could use some improvement.


My main concern is with the progress bars in the grid. Repeating a progress bar for each project row clutters the interface without adding much value. It's rare that someone works on only one project at a time, so users end up seeing a wall of tiny, mostly-empty bars. The same goes for the "Total" progress bar per row: it's not particularly useful and just adds visual noise.


Where a progress bar would genuinely help is as a daily total across all projects. Knowing at a glance that I've logged 8h/8h for the day is valuable feedback, but that's currently the one place where this visual indicator is missing.

My recommendations:

  1. Remove the progress bar in the grid view (per project row)
  2. Remove the "Total" progress bar per row
  3. Add a "Total" progress bar per column instead, showing total logged hours for each day
