I get high CPU usage intermittently both using Zoho Mail on Firefox as well as on the Zoho Mail Desktop app (Mac). To me it seems like a bug because idle usage is normally quite low. Right now, for example, the desktop app uses <1% in the background which is fine.

The problem usually starts when the app runs for a while in the background, and especially after the laptop was in sleep mode. CPU usage shoots up to around 30-40% and just stays there and drains battery until I exit the app/close the browser tab. I'd love to narrow it down more, but so far it seems to happen regardless of which browser I use (even without plugins enabled) and what system I am working on.

Quite frustrating as I can't leave the client running on my laptop because it will drain the battery.
