Is it possible to download record template without opining it in a new tap?

Is there a way to download multiply record templates without oppinging lot of tab.

I'm using this code:
  1. openUrl(url + linkName + "/" + input.ID + "/" + fileName,"new window","successive=true");

An once I click to download the record template you can see on the attached image hoo many opened tabs:
