Look Up Ticket by Ticket #

Zoho Desk has no good and quick way to pull up a ticket given that ticket's ID. There needs to be a quick and reliable way to do this.

  1. Many other systems accept the Ticket # in the URL. This is simple, easy, very quick, and lets us dynamically link to any ticket. Zoho Desk does not support this.
  2. Searching by Ticket ID is the next fastest thing. This works great until it doesn't. The search bar only searches a specific date range unless you go to the search page and change it. That makes sense when searching by title, but when I have the exact ticket number I should always be able to go straight to that ticket.
  3. Finding a ticket that has been moved to a different department is difficult too, even when I know the ticket number I might not know that it was moved. This is a little trickier, but again if I have the exact ticket # I should be able to go straight to it.
All of this is just to say that it would be nice to be able to immediately pull up any ticket if I know its #, and not have to fiddle with search filters or check multiple departments since that just slows things down and is unintuitive.
