Lost tasks

Hi has anyone had this problem? I entered five tasks in against a milestone on thursday but they are no longer visible under upcoming milestones - even when the expand icon is clicked - however they are visible in the calender and reports under task list or graph view.... how can I bring them back into view again? thanks.
