Mobile CRM Contacts do no properly sync BUG

The three people in our company all have the same Last Name. We have noticed the following buggy behavior with the app for iPhone (we're all using iOS version 4.3.5 on iPhone 4): If a user who is not the Contact Owner tries to update information in a field that already has information in it, the field will not update and display to the other CRM users.
For example: Ashley is the owner of a contact. Steve found out that the customer changed their phone number and goes to update it on his Zoho Mobile CRM App. Steve will make the update, and on his CRM Mobile the change will show up. However, if Ashley goes to up view the customer's updated information, the old phone number will still show up (even after it has been re-synced, the website also will display the old information). However, if Ashley makes the change to the contact from her mobile app (remember, she's the Contact Owner), the field will update correctly and will display correctly to all users.
Now, what's odd is that if the person who is NOT the Contact Owner tries to update a field that did not have data in it (so, let's say the customer did not have a fax line, but bought one, and Steve decides to update the field when Ashley is the Contact Owner) the data will correctly update and all users will be able to display the data.
