Need Item Custom Field Visible only to internal staff

How can we display custom fields to internal staff only in zoho inventory dashboard for sales orders / invoices?

I have added a custom field to our "Items" objects, and while it is present during the estimate/invoice/sales order creation stage, it does NOT show up in Books/Inventory views. This is a problem because our order fulfillment team needs these notes to process the order correctly on a per item basis.

I can NOT enable the "show on all pdf" option which would make it display in the books/inventory dashboards in "PDF View" but this would expose the information to the customer when they were sent a copy of the estimate/invoice/sales order which we do not want.

Why are custom fields not displayed on the internal view of Zoho Inventory?
