Please stop making the sidebar disappear :-)!

In Zoho Books/Inventory there is a "feature" :-p where for some selections the left sidebar disappears. For instance if I select a report. If I want the sidebar to disappear, I will click on the "collapse" button on the lower left. Please stop this from being automatic or provide an option to turn this "feature" off.

I get that someone decided to "help" users by doing this when there is more info to display, but many of us run high resolution monitors and it does not help, from a UX perspective it is disconcerting and very irritating and slows down my workflow.
